As you can tell, I’ve taken a hiatus from the blogging world. I will hopefully be returning soon. Upon return, I will be moving this blog to a new location. I’m tired of it being on WordPress’ servers, I want control! :) I actually just want to customize it more.

Link to new location coming soon.

This so-called "war on drugs" would end, and the government would scramble to make up another excuse to demand taxes from us. This would obviously take a lot more than just the legalization of marijuana, but it would at least be a start.

This is an obvious duh. Cats have the life. They sleep for 23.5 hours of the day. The other .5 is spent eating food that I have bought and served, chasing a laser pointer which I have provided for entertainment, and taking a crap, that I will inevitably clean up for her later. I swear, I'm a slave to my cat. But in spite of my indentured servitude to the fur ball, I love her. If you have one of your own, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Tomorrow the Rocky Mountain News will print it’s final paper. It’s sad to see such a big publication that’s been around for almost 150 years close. I feel so sorry for everyone who worked there. It’s a scary time to be suddently out of work. Thoughts and prayers with their families.

Here are a few photos from when the news broke in the newsroom. The rest can be found here.

Before you assume I have no heart, I have a story to share with you.

I am a total animal lover. I’ve had pets my whole life. When I’d see a dog or cat roaming around the street, I would always be inclined to bring it inside and see if it had an ID tag and get it back to it’s owner.

So this last Sunday my boyfriend and I got home around 11:30 pm, and there was a cute black cat at my porch. I figured it was lost because it had a collar with an ID tag. I assume most outdoor cats don’t have collars. Being an outdoor cat seems to render an ID tag useless, right? Well one would think. Anyways, I was able to get a hold of this cat and call the number on the tag. No answer. It was getting late, and to my boyfriends sleepy displease, I couldn’t just let it go for fear of it getting hit by a car or something. So tried to find where to take a lost kitty in the middle of the night. Continue Reading »
