m.i.a.

Last week’s blogging spree took a lot of my time, and I’m paying for it this week. However, I’m going back home this weekend and will have some much needed free time on my hands. After this class is over and I’m on a mini vacation, I will be able to post more.

Just some food for thought for the time being. I’ve been perusing the CNN headlines and have noticed an interesting coincidence the past few day. If you notice, many of the headlines say, “Stocks are falling in spite of bailout,” or, “Wall Street hasn’t bounced back even with Fed help.” Well I wonder why that is… The government can not fix the economic problem, no matter how hard they try.

Frankly, I’m getting tired of the news talking about how scumbag CEOs of corporations are getting away with so much. Yes, it’s good to be aware of it, but what about some action? They were talking about this on the radio this morning. What can people like you and me do when we hear people like the CEOs of AIG getting bailed out, and then go on a $440,000 “wining and dining” vacation?! Not only that, but they were given MORE MONEY! What can we do? Well, this is a good start. And I, apparently, blog about it. But really. We can talk all we want, but until they are held accountable, nothing will change…

I got my mail-in ballot this week too. Exciting, no? I have to do some more research into the Colorado issues though before I mail it back though.

If you give a mouse a cookie…

It’s interesting that you can relate this situation to a children’s book.
